This painting comes from my collection of powerful animals which are, in different cultures, important symbols. This painting is an allegory of two stages of a woman's life. The first one is childhood - as innocent as the cartoon-style surroundings. The second one is maturity when the woman is young, pretty and powerful as the lionesses in the painting depict. It tells the story of great wisdom. Even though the woman changes throughout her life, she remains her true, best friend - herself.
